Product overview

Identify fasteners by type and specification

The examples below illustrate fastener forms and named material designations, including Inconel 718, A286, Hastelloy C276 and stainless steel. Share the material grade, thread form, dimensions and inspection requirements needed for your assembly.

Use the fastener examples as manufacturing references. Provide the drawing or sample, material grade, thread dimensions and inspection requirements for the part you need Blaze Turbine to review and quote.

Manufacturing Support

Drawing-based Manufacturing

Provide a controlled drawing and revision so Blaze can review geometry, material, joining methods and acceptance criteria before manufacture.

Reverse Engineering

When drawings are unavailable, submit a physical sample and explain the application. Agree on dimensions and material requirements before production.

Material & Geometry Review

Identify the required material grade, surface condition and interface dimensions. Specifications are confirmed for the individual component.

Inspection Requirements

Include the inspection plan and documentation needed for your order. Confirm dimensional checks and material records during the quotation review.

Bolts & Nuts Manufacturing Examples

Use the fastener examples as manufacturing references. Provide the drawing or sample, material grade, thread dimensions and inspection requirements for the part you need Blaze Turbine to review and quote.

Material, Processing & Documentation

Material References

Named examples include Inconel 718, A286, Hastelloy C276 and stainless steel. Confirm the grade for the individual part.

Processing Requirements

Specify any required heat treatment, coating or surface condition in the order drawing and procurement specification.

Order Documentation

Define material records, dimensional inspection and test documentation during quotation review. Standards apply to the specified part and order.

What should you specify for custom bolts and nuts?

Specify the fastener's material grade, thread system, nominal diameter, pitch, length and required head or nut form. Include the operating environment and any coating or locking requirement. Matching visible size alone does not establish that a bolt, nut or stud is suitable for a particular assembly.

How do bolts, nuts and stud bolts differ?

A bolt has a head and a threaded shank, a nut has an internal thread, and a stud bolt is a threaded component used with mating threaded parts or nuts. Hex plugs close a specified threaded opening. These product forms have different dimensional and installation requirements. Identify the required form and the complete thread specification when preparing the inquiry.

Questions About Bolts, Nuts & Stud Bolts

Is Inconel 718 suitable for every fastener application?

The fastener material must match the approved design and operating conditions. Inconel 718 appears in the Blaze manufacturing examples, but that does not establish suitability for every assembly. Specify the grade, treatment and material standard required for the individual part.

What information is needed to match a nut to a bolt?

Provide the thread system, nominal diameter, pitch and tolerance requirements for both the bolt and nut. Also specify material, treatment and any locking feature required by the assembly design. A matching diameter alone is insufficient to define a compatible fastener pair.

Can Blaze review a non-standard fastener?

A component named Non Standard is included among the manufacturing examples, and Blaze describes manufacture from customer drawings or samples. Send the complete geometry, material, thread and inspection requirements so the non-standard part can be assessed before quotation.
