Overview
A Venturi Tube is a device used to measure the flow of liquids or gases by reducing the cross-sectional area of the passage. As the fluid enters the narrow throat, its velocity increases while the pressure decreases. This pressure difference makes it possible to calculate the flow rate accurately.
Materials and Production
Venturi Tubes are usually manufactured from stainless steel or carbon steel, depending on the operating environment. Stainless steel offers good resistance to corrosion, while carbon steel provides durability at a lower cost. During production, the throat and converging sections are precisely machined to strict tolerances. Skilled brazing or welding techniques are often required to ensure strong and reliable joints.

When damage is beyond repair, replacement of the throat section or the complete assembly ensures safe and efficient operation.
